What are anti-ageing injectables?

Anti-ageing injectables involve two main types of product: botulinum toxin (known as Botox) and dermal fillers. The two work in different ways but are often combined for complete rejuvenation.

Botox relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles - the ones that appear when you express emotion.Fillers add volume and fill static wrinkles, folds and areas of volume loss.

• Forehead (horizontal lines)
• Between the brows (glabellar lines)
• Around the eyes ("crow's feet")
• Nasolabial folds (from nose to mouth)
• Marionette lines (from the mouth downwards)
• Lips (volume and contour)
• Cheekbones and cheeks

How does the treatment work?

The treatment is quick and minimally invasive:

• Cleansing the skin
• Application of numbing cream (optional)
• Precise injection with ultra-fine needles
• A light massage for even distribution
• The whole process takes 15-30 minutes

Results and duration

Botox: Results appear after 3-7 days and last 4-6 months. With regular treatments the effect can be extended.

Fillers: Results are immediate and last 6-18 months depending on the product and the area treated.

Safety
